What is JULIE? 
JULIE stands for Joint Utility Locating Information for Excavators.

Purpose
JULIE Inc. provides Illinois excavators and underground utility owners with a continuously improving, one-call message handling and delivery service committed to protecting underground utilities and the safety of people working or living near them. JULIE neither owns nor marks any underground lines.

History 
JULIE began operations in Will County as a not-for-profit corporation on Aug. 1, 1974. It expanded to include all of Illinois except the city of Chicago in December 1980. Thanks to successful initiatives and the active participation of our members, JULIE has established itself as one of the largest one-call centers in the nation with more than 1,900 members.

JULIE, Inc. espouses quality, affordability, customer service and a conducive work environment.

Location 
JULIE is located at 3275 Executive Drive in Joliet, IL, approximately 30 miles south of Chicago. Our Call Center houses 41 operator stations equipped with the latest technology. Two conference rooms and a state-of-the-art training room are available to members.

Hours of Operation
JULIE's Call Center agents process locate requests 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. JULIE’s administrative offices are open 8am to 4pm.
