The Excavator Handbook is a valuable tool for excavators. The handbook has been designed to provide basic information on safe excavation practices and the protection of underground facilities in Illinois.
While the handbook contains a copy of the law, it is not a legal reference. It is not intended to be a full and complete statement of the law, nor of the excavators' duties and responsibilities when engaging in excavation work.
