 On
May 4, 2008 JULIE, Inc. held a one-year celebration of
811 at Brookfield Zoo with the Radio Disney Road Crew.
BUD (Before U Dig), the national 811 mascot, made his
first appearance in Illinois at this fun-filled event.

Crew kept the crowd singing and dancing, including BUD.
Families also learned the importance of call
before you dig with interactive games like 811
Trivia and Match the Marking Flag to the Utility Game.
JULIE team members
coordinated several fun events at their booth. A
large prize wheel was a big hit with young and old kids
alike. A "Color With Scooper" contest proved to be
a popular activity throughout the day. Kids also
enjoyed the special JULIE tattoos and color-changing
pencils. Team members distributed educational materials
during this fun-filled event reminding everyone to "Call
Before You Dig". |
