The Dig Number that
you receive after submitting your locate request information identifies the
specific location request record you had processed. This record contains all
of the information about your request along with the
JULIE members who received the request. Below is an explanation of
what your JULIE Dig Number means:
It is important that you write this Dig Number down and keep it for your
records as proof of your call to JULIE. If you enter your locates via
Web Remote Ticket Entry (WRTE) or
Fax-A-Locate,
you can retain a hard copy for your files. If it becomes necessary for a second request, or to request that
marks be refreshed or remarked at the excavation site, you will need to
refer to this Dig Number.
In addition, if any type of discrepancy should occur
regarding your excavation, your Dig Number is proof of your call to JULIE.
