When submitting a rural locate request, please provide as much information as possible. Any additional directions that can assist utility locators to your excavation site will avoid delays in your project.

The following examples illustrate additional information that can be included on your request:

1.  On what side of the road you will be digging
2.  The complete name of the road
3.  The name of the nearest cross road within 1/4 of a mile
4.  The name of the owner/renter at the location where you will
     be digging

Be sure to specify the direction of this address to the nearest town including the name of the road(s), and distance(s). Additional information such as rural fire department number, mileage marker or any other landmark that may be helpful in identifying the location should also be included.
