After your locate request information is submitted via a JULIE operator, Web Remote Ticket Entry (WRTE), or Fax-A-Locate, it is processed by our computer system.  The geographic information contained in the location request determines which JULIE member companies have facilities in or near the proposed excavation area, and the computer then sends a location request message via email, printer, fax to those companies.

JULIE member companies operate on the premise that if you give them the proper two-working day advance notice (does not include Saturdays, Sundays or Holidays) and they have facilities in the area where you intend to dig, they will respond and mark these facilities sometime within this 48 hour period.    White-lining your project can help expedite this process.

You may not begin your excavation before the dig start time of your ticket, even if all utilities have been located and marked.
