Contractors, excavators, and homeowners in Illinois know to call JULIE before they dig.  But who do you contact when you have questions regarding an underground facility at your excavation site?  Who can you, as a contractor, talk to when underground facilities that should have been moved at your site, aren't?

On any excavation project, time is of the essence, but excavating without proper markings or placement of facilities can endanger work crews, lead to possible loss of service, as well as close a job-site down permanently.

Several Illinois utility companies have developed Damage Prevention Teams to assist excavators with problems that may arise regarding their digging project.  If this should occur after the contractor has followed all the proper procedures and made the initial call to JULIE, they can contact the Damage Prevention Teams for the utility companies listed with specific questions regarding that buried facility.
