A person involved in excavation or demolition may expressly waive the right of notification from the JULIE member companies with no facilities located in the proposed excavation or demolition area.  Waiver of notice is only permissible in the case of regular or non-emergency locate requests. 

Callback Waiver:  "Yes" or "No"
When a excavator calls in a locate request they are asked by the JULIE operator if they would like to waive their right to be notified by the utility companies. 

If the excavator replies "Yes" this excuses only the JULIE member companies who have no facilities in the immediate area from notifying the excavator of this fact. 

If the excavator replies "No" this means that each JULIE member company is obligated to:

bulletNotify the excavator that they do not have facilities or
bulletMark the approximate location of their facilities within the two-working day period.
