JULIE’s web-based REV program may be used to perform any one of the following three functions provided that the information appearing on the locate request does not need to be modified.

Request “REFRESH MARKS (REMARK)” on an existing locate request:

This function may be used to request that facility markings be refreshed by utility owner/operators at the digsite because they are becoming or have become indistinguishable due to factors such as weather, fading, construction traffic or vandalism. Facility owner/operators will be expected to respond within 48 hours (2 business days beginning at 8am and ending at 4pm, exclusive of weekends and major holidays) to re-mark their facilities. REFRESH MARKS requests can only be submitted for excavation projects that were started within 14 calendar days of the initial locate request.

EXTEND” an existing locate request:

Locate requests are valid for a period of 28 calendar days from the date of the original request. Excavation projects that extend past 28 days require an additional notice to facility owner/operators through JULIE. This notice can be provided using the EXTEND function, which will provide an additional 28 calendar days from the date of the notice to continue or complete the excavation project. Users may optionally request that facility markings be refreshed if needed as part of this function. Locate requests may be EXTENDED from the 20th calendar day through the 28th calendar day from the initial request or most recent EXTEND operation. Extend Ticket requests can only be submitted for excavation projects that were started within 14 calendar days of the initial locate request.

VIEW” an existing locate request:

This function may be used to view the information on a locate request processed within the last 150 days.

The JULIE ticket number (dig number) and the telephone number used when the original ticket was processed must be provided to access these functions. A first and last name must also be provided and will be included on the subsequent REFRESH MARKS request or EXTENDED ticket.

If you are unable to meet ALL of these requirements, please exit this application and dial 811 to contact JULIE to process your request. Requests submitted using this application are not valid unless a “SUCCESSFULLY SUBMITTED” message, ticket (dig) number and revision number are displayed.
